DODOMA, June 3 -- THE Tanzania Railways Corporation (TRC) has to officially begin cargo transportation services between Dar es Salaam and Dodoma after completing trial runs and getting approval from the Land Transport Regulatory Authority (LATRA).

The announcement was made today in Dodoma by Enock Mgonja, the TRCs Manager for Passenger and Freight Wagon Maintenance, shortly before a freight train began its return journey to Dar es Salaam. The journey marks the second in a series of trial operations, the first having run from Dar es Salaam to Dodoma.
