GEITA, Nov. 7 -- Residents of Geita Municipal Council in Geita Region have expressed their joy and relief with the resumption of long-distance bus services, reconnecting Geita to multiple regions across the country.

The resumption of services comes five days after a temporary suspension was implemented as a precautionary measure by law enforcement and security agencies, aimed at addressing threats of violence in the country.

It is important to note that Geita Town, along with the commercial hub of Katoro Town Authority in Geita District, was among the areas that witnessed attempted unrest following the General Election held on last Wednesday.
