TABORA, July 31 -- MORE than 1,000 football fans from Tabora region are heading to Dar es Salaam ahead of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) opener between Taifa Stars and Burkina Faso.

The game is scheduled for August 2, 2025, at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, where Tanzania will face Burkina Faso.

Speaking to reporters here, Tabora Uniteds Media Officer and CHAN mobilizer, Christina Mwagala, revealed that 700 fans have already registered—surpassing initial expectations.

In response to the overwhelming turnout, the Tabora Regional Commissioner, Paul Chacha, has arranged for additional buses, increasing the fleet from the originally planned seven.
