DODOMA, July 3 -- SENIOR officials from the National Independent Electoral Commission (THNEC) have continued their nationwide visits to various prisons to inspect the ongoing exercise of updating the Permanent Voter Register. The exercise is part of the preparations for the upcoming General Election scheduled for October this year.

Commission Member and High Court Judge, Hon. Asina Omari, today visited Isanga, Msalato, and Kondoa Prisons in Dodoma Region, where she inspected the implementation of the voter registration update exercise for remandees and convicted inmates.
