DAR ES SALAAM, June 27 -- IN a landmark move to boost grassroots sports, the Tanzania Golf Union (TGU), in collaboration with The R&A, officially handed over 50 sets of junior golf equipment to the newly formed National Junior Golf Committee.
The event, held yesterday at the Tanzania Peoples Defence Forces (TPDF) Lugalo Golf Course in Dar es Salaam, was part of the ongoing National Golf Development Programme under the theme “Golf for All.”
Organised by TGU in partnership with The R&A—the global governing body responsible for the promotion and development of golf outside the United States, the ceremony marked a pivotal moment in the countrys efforts to expand youth participation in the sport.
