Dar es Salaam, Feb. 7 -- DAR ES SALAAM: THE Temeke Municipal Council has approved a 172bn/- budget for the 2025/26 financial year, marking a 10 percent increase from last years 161bn/-.
According to the municipalitys economist, Mr Gervas Lupembe, the budget will be funded through internal revenue and project grants from the central government.
“The budget allocates 30percent for administrative operations, while 70 per cent will fund development projects,” Lupembe said.
He said among the key projects planned are the construction of two inclusive schools in Mbagala and Temeke constituencies , catering to students from Grade 1 to Form 4.
