Dar es Salaam, Feb. 14 -- DODOMA: THE Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA) has called on Tanzanians, particularly young people, to harness the vast opportunities presented by the internet to drive the nations ambitious digital economy.

TCRAs board Chairperson Dr Jones Kilimbe made the call when he officiated the Safer Internet Day (SID) marked at the national level in Dodoma Region.

The event, organised by TCRA, aimed to promote safer internet practices among Tanzanian citizens, particularly young people.

It drew pupils and students from different schools and higher learning institutions from across the region.
