Dar es Salaam, April 8 -- DODOMA: THE Tanzanian government, through the Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA), has issued 206 licenses to media outlets and online content creators whose applications met the established criteria.
This initiative aims to broaden the scope of information dissemination in the country while adhering to broadcasting laws and regulations.
It said as of March 2025, a total of 206 licenses have already been issued.
This number was released today, April 8, 2025, during the Parliament session in Dodoma by the Deputy Minister for Information, Culture, Arts and Sports, Hamis Mwinjuma, while responding to a question from Mpendae MP, Toufiq Salim Turky.
