DAR ES SALAAM, June 8 -- THE public has been urged to take advantage of waste recycling as a means of launching various economic projects, given that waste can serve as a valuable raw material for other uses and help reduce economic hardships.

The call was made today in Dar es Salaam by the Assistant Director of the Environment Department in the Vice Presidents Office, Thomas Chali, while addressing journalists during the climax of the World Environment Day celebrations.
