Dar es Salaam, April 21 -- INDIA: INDIAN Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the fastest world leader to react to the demise of the death of Pope Francis with others including Tanzanians joined him in expressing deep sorrow following the news of the death of the leader of the global Catholic Church.

The Pope passed away today at 1:35 am local time at his residence in Casa Santa Marta, after battling a long-term illness—pneumonia affecting both lungs.
