DAR ES SALAAM, Nov. 8 -- TANZANIA Women defeated Canada by 26 runs in the second match of the Canada Women tour of Tanzania at the University of Dar es Salaam on Wednesday.
Winning the toss, Tanzania elected to bat and set a target of 97 runs after completing their 20 overs for the loss of seven wickets.
The innings got off to a shaky start as opener Fatuma Kibasu was run out in the first over without scoring. Saum Mtae followed in the fourth over, caught behind off Terisha Lavia for nine runs, leaving Tanzania struggling at 23 for 2.
Captain Neema Pius then took charge, guiding the middle order with a composed innings of 46 not out.
