DAR ES SALAAM, Nov. 18 -- THE Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner, Albert Chalamila, has directed the Dar Rapid Transit (UDART) bus company and various government institutions under the Regional Administrative Secretarys Office to ensure that by November 20 this year, rapid bus transit services are restored on the Mbagala route heading toward the city center.
Chalamila issued the directive today, November 18, 2025, during a visit to the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) stations along the Mbagala corridor, where he also inspected infrastructure damaged during the unrest that occurred on October 29, 2025, the day of the General Election.
