ARUSHA, Feb. 5 -- MINISTER for Information, Culture, Arts and Sports, Paul Makonda, has revealed that Tanzania has already signed 22 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with different countries aimed at strengthening cooperation in sports development, as the nation steps up preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2027.
Makonda made the remarks recently in Arusha during an inspection tour of various development projects in the city, as Tanzania intensifies readiness for the continental football showpiece that will be co-hosted by three East African nations – Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda.
