DAR ES SALAAM, Aug. 13 -- THE Ministry for Natural Resources and Tourism has signed four investment agreements under the Strategic Wildlife Investment Concession Agreement (SWICA) framework worth 158.5m/- that will give investors the opportunity to conduct both photographic tourism and tourist hunting activities within the same concession area.
The investment which will take place in the Burko Open Area (Monduli–Arusha), Selous MHJ1, Selous MHJ2, and Selous ML1 (Liwale–Lindi) differs from the traditional tourist hunting arrangement, in which investors mainly focused on hunting activities only.
