DODOMA, Jan. 30 -- THE Mining Commission has set new strategies to strengthen the contribution of the mining sector to national economic growth, following a review of its performance over the past three months.

This was reached during a Commission meeting held today, January 30, 2026, in Dodoma, chaired by the Mining Commission Chairperson, Dr Janet R. Lekashingo who noted that the meeting focused on receiving and discussing the Commissions quarterly implementation report and on putting in place firm measures to enhance the sectors performance.
