DODOMA, Feb. 6 -- TANZANIA seeks to strengthen its strategic position in the international Mining Sector following its participation in the International Mining Indaba 2026 Conference, expected to be held in Cape Town, South Africa, from February 8 to 12, 2026.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Minerals, the Minister of Minerals, Anthony Mavunde, is expected to lead the Tanzanian Delegation at the conference that will bring together Government leaders, Investors, large mining companies, and financial institutions from various countries around the world, and other stakeholders.
