VIENNA, June 21 -- THE United Nations has commended the Tanzanian government for its significant efforts in combating corruption, particularly through the use of technology in public procurement systems.

The recognition was given during the 16th Expert Meeting on the Review of the Implementation of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC), held in Vienna, Austria.
