DAR ES SALAAM, Jan. 13 -- THE Mining Commission has released new indicative prices for gold and silver, reflecting movements in the global minerals market and guiding transactions in Tanzanias formal mineral trading system.

According to the prices issued in Dar es Salaam today, January 13, 2026, through the Minister for Minerals, the world market price of silver stands at 85.94 US dollars per troy ounce, equivalent to 6,825.80/- per gram.

The mineral market price for silver has been set at 6,143.22/- per gram, while the buying centre price is 6,006.70/- per gram.

For gold, the commission reported a world market price of 4,627.95 US dollars per troy ounce, translating to 367,575.60/- per gram.
