DODOMA, June 4 -- THE performance of the Ministry of Energy and its affiliates has recorded a 95 percent performance score in the third quarter of the 2024/25 financial year,  according to the latest evaluation report released by the Ministry.

The Tanzanian Ministry of Energys best performance can be attributed to significant progress in increasing electricity generation capacity, expanding natural gas distribution, and improving rural electrification. Specifically, the Ministry has increased power generation capacity connected to the national grid, extended electricity to a large number of villages, and expanded natural gas networks, enabling supply to homes, institutions, and industries.
