DAR ES SALAAM, June 4 -- RETAIL prices for petrol and diesel, and kerosene in Tanzania have recorded a 2 per cent drop in June, 2025, following a decline in global market prices.
According to the statement published by the Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (EWURA), the drop to the fact that, on average, foreign exchange rates dropped by 0.63 per cent, while the new price is considered newly revised fuel transportation costs announced in April this year.
In Dar es Salaam, the new retail prices per litre are as follows: petrol will now sell at 2,885/-, down from 2,947/- in May; diesel will retail at 2,826/-, down from 2,868/-; while kerosene has dropped to 2,877/- from 3,053/-.
