SIMIYU, June 19 -- THE Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism has successfully increased the number of tourists visiting Tanzania from 1.7 million in 2021 to 5.2 million in 2024. International tourist arrivals rose from 922,692 in 2021 to 2,141,895 in 2024, while domestic tourism surged from 788,933 to 3,218,352 during the same period.
Additionally, tourism revenues have seen a significant rise, jumping from 1.3 US dollars in 2021 to 3.9bn US dollars in 2024.
