Dar es Salaam, April 24 -- DAR ES SALAAM: THE Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Ambassador Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, has signed the book of condolences at the Embassy of the Vatican in Tanzania, located in Oysterbay, Dar es Salaam, following the death of the Head of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Francis.
Pope Francis, who served as the leader of the Catholic Church for 12 years, passed away on April 21, 2025, at his residence in the Vatican City due to a stroke. Minister Kombo signed the condolence book on behalf of President Samia Suluhu Hassan.
