DODOMA, June 13 -- The Tanzanian government has proposed a 56.49tri/- budget for 2025/26.
The Finance Minister Dr. Mwigulu Nchemba, presenting the budget, outlined its funding sources, which include 40.47tri/- from domestic revenue, 1.07tri/ in foreign grants, and 14.94tri/- in loans.
Dr Nchemba presented the breakdown of expected domestic revenue as follows: 32.31tri/- from tax revenue, 6.48tril/- from non-tax revenue, and 1.68tri/- from local government authorities.
He said the loan portion consists of 6.27ri/- from domestic sources and 8.68tri/- from international lenders.
