ZANZIBAR, Jan. 7 -- THE Tanzanian Minerals Commission has encouraged Tanzanians to apply for Small-Scale Mining Licenses and establish small factories for cutting, processing, polishing gemstones to increase value before bringing them to market.

The Commission in collaboration with various government institutions and the private sector, is participating in the 12th Zanzibar International Trade Fair currently taking place at the Fumba area in Zanzibar, to promote investment opportunities found in the countrys mining sector.
