DODOMA, Nov. 14 -- PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has issued a pardon to all youth who were charged of treason in the country by following the crowd and protesting during the general election that was conducted on October 29, this year.
The Head of State issued the pardon when inaugurating the 13th parliament today, November14, 2025, in Dodoma and directed the security and law-enforcement organs in the country, especially the DPPs office to assess the levels of offences, and those who simply followed the crowd should be released and returned to their parents.
According to the President, most of the youth just followed the crowd and did not understand the gravity of what they were doing.
