DAR ES SALAAM, Feb. 23 -- THE Minister of State, Presidents Office – Youth Development, Joel Nanauka, has announced that the government has introduced a new system to manage the distribution of 200bn/- allocated to youth, aiming to ensure the funds deliver positive results for the beneficiaries.
Speaking to the government media outlet today, February 23, 2026, Minister Nanauka said the funds will be directed to various groups, including farmers, entrepreneurs, fishermen, livestock keepers, and innovative youth.
He noted that past experience shows loans to youth have not produced the expected results, despite over 36bn/- being disbursed in the 2024/2025 financial year.
