NJOMBE, Jan. 30 -- THE Rural Energy Agency (REA) has begun the implementation of providing electricity to 218 hamlets in Njombe Region, where the project worth 24.9bn/-.

The move is part of the  plan to provide electricity to all remaining hamlets in the country that still do not have electricity service by 2030.

This was stated today by Frank Mugogo on behalf of the Director General of REA, Eng Hassan Saidy during a brief ceremony to introduce the contractor from Central Electricals International Ltd in the HEP 2B Project which is going to implement in 218 hamlets in Njombe Region.
