Dar es Salaam, April 9 -- DODOMA: Tanzania has successfully maintained food self-sufficiency at 125 percent, a milestone attributed to the increase in food crop production from 20.4 million tonnes in the 2022/2023 farming season to 22.8 million tonnes in the 2023/2024 season.
This announcement was made today, April 9 in Dodoma by Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa while presenting the budget speech for the Prime Ministers Office and its affiliated institutions for the 2025/2026 financial year.
