DODOMA, July 17 -- THE Tanzanian Vice President, Dr. Philip Mpango, has stated that Tanzania remains in the category of developing countries, and now is the right time to lift the nation to an upper-middle-income economy.

Speaking today, Thursday, July 17, 2025, during the official launch of the National Development Vision 2050 held at the Jakaya Kikwete Convention Centre in Dodoma, Dr. Mpango emphasized that development success should not be measured by statistics alone, but by the real improvement in the lives of citizens.
