DAR ES SALAAM, Feb. 23 -- THE Minerals Minister, Anthony Mavunde, has announced that the government is committed to achieving 50 percent implementation of the national deep geological survey plan by 2030.

 The initiative aims to strengthen the mining sector by providing accurate and up-to-date data.

Speaking today at the signing ceremony of the Special Program for Small-Scale Miners, Minister Mavunde stated that Tanzania is in the final stages of launching a major geological survey project covering an area of approximately 165,474 square kilometers, equivalent to 18% of the countrys total land area.
