MOROGORO, Dec. 15 -- TANZANIA, is set to generate 8,000 megawatts of electricity through a mix of energy sources, including the implementation of new power generation projects to ensure a reliable power supply.

THE Ministry of Energy has announced that all will be implemented by 2030.

The statement was issued today, December 15, 2025, by Energy Minister Deogratias Ndejembi during the opening of the Ministry of Energy Staff Council meeting held in Morogoro region. The Minister emphasized that the Ministry, in collaboration with various stakeholders, will continue to set the right energy priorities to ensure strategic projects are implemented on time.
