Dar es Salaam, April 11 -- DODOMA: Tanzania has recorded a slight but important reduction in electricity losses across its power system, reflecting ongoing efforts to boost grid efficiency and minimize waste, according to the Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (EWURA).

In its 2023/24 regulatory performance report, EWURA noted that energy losses dropped by 0.04 percent compared to the previous year. Though modest, the improvement is significant given the countrys rapidly expanding power infrastructure and growing customer base.
