DODOMA, May 22 -- THE construction of the Dodoma Outer Ring Road, one of Tanzanias key infrastructure projects, has reached over 85 percent completion, according to the Ministry of Works.

The road, which spans 112.3 kilometers, the Ring Road, is expected to ease traffic congestion and boost connectivity around the capital.

During an inspection tour, Minister of Works Abdallah Ulega expressed satisfaction with the progress and announced plans to enhance the roads visibility by installing street lighting along the entire stretch, especially to improve safety at night.

He instructed TANROADS engineers to ensure that by June, the construction reaches at least 90 percent completion.
