DAR ES SALAAM, June 20 -- THE recent amendments to the labour laws can lead to a more productive and inclusive economy through fostering fairness, motivation, and efficiency, the Association of Tanzania Employers (ATE) said yesterday.
Last year, employers were formally introduced to proposed changes to key legislation governing the labor sector, including the Employment and Relations Act, the Labor Institutions Act, and the Non-Citizens (Employment Regulation) Act.
The reforms represent a significant step forward in balancing workers rights with the operational needs of employers, reaffirming the countrys commitment to modernising its labor framework in response to evolving socio-economic realities.
