DAR ES SALAAM, Feb. 16 -- THE Tanzanian government said the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has brought significant transformation to the health sector by improving the quality and efficiency of services provided across the country.

The statement was made today at the State House in Dar es Salaam by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Seif Shekalaghe, on behalf of the Minister for Health, Mohamed Mchengerwa.

Delivering the statement, Dr. Shekalaghe said that through digital systems, health facilities are now able to store and share patients information more quickly and accurately, a move that has reduced human errors and accelerated diagnosis and treatment services.
