DAR ES SALAAM, Nov. 28 -- THE Tanzanian government continues to push for clean energy with the target to ensure 80 percent of its citizens use it by 2034.
The Deputy Minister in the Vice Presidents Office (Union and Environment), Dr. Festo Dugange, unveiled the target during his first visit to the National Environment Management Council (NEMC), where he addressed the Councils staff and issued specific directives aimed at strengthening environmental management in the country.
According to the Deputy Minister, the initiative will benefit communities by reducing air pollution, protecting the environment, and lowering the cost of living.
