Dar es Salaam, Feb. 21 -- The discussions took place during a meeting between Vice President Emmanuel Nchimbi and Indias High Commissioner to Tanzania, Bashwadip Dey, held in Dar es Salaam on Friday.
A statement issued by the Office of the Vice President said the two leaders explored how Dar es Salaam and New Delhi could enhance collaboration in health, water, education, as well as trade and investment.
Tanzania and India enjoy cordial diplomatic relations that date back to Tanzanias independence, with India opening its High Commission in 1961 and Tanzania establishing its High Commission in India in 1962.
