DAR ES SALAAM, Sept. 16 -- THE South African High Commissioner to Tanzania, Noluthando Mayende Malepe, has underscored the significance of the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Conference, describing it as a milestone for womens equality and empowerment across Africa.
Speaking at a high-level Power Table celebration in Dar es Salaam, Malepe said women have gained greater access to leadership positions and demonstrated their ability to foster peace and end conflicts, citing the leadership of Tanzanias President Samia Suluhu Hassan as an example.
