DELHI, Jan. 27 -- THE Deputy Minister for Energy, Salome Makamba, has participated in the opening of the India Energy Week (IEW 2026), an event aimed at discussing and formulating joint strategies to develop the energy sector sustainably and inclusively, while highlighting various investment opportunities in partner countries and the best ways to access them.

The event was officially opened today, January 27, 2026, by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, in the state of Goa, India. The meeting was attended by participants from over 125 countries, including government leaders, energy experts, investors, and private sector stakeholders.
