Dar es Salaam, March 21 -- DODOMA: IN a significant move to enhance disaster preparedness and response, the government has officially launched the Early Warnings for All (EW4All) initiative, with a budget allocation of 528.9m/-.
The colourful launch event took place in Dodoma and was officiated by the Deputy Minister for Works, David Kihenzile, who stressed the importance of timely and accurate information in mitigating the impacts of natural disasters.
The EW4All initiative aims to establish a comprehensive early warning system that will provide critical information to communities at risk of various hazards, including floods, droughts and other climate-related events.
