DAR ES SALAAM, May 14 -- HE Tanzanian government and the Czech Republic have signed an Agreement on the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Avoidance and Evasion with Respect to Tax on Income.

This milestone aims to attract international investment and strengthen commercial relations between the two countries.

The agreement was signed in Dar es Salaam at the Ministry of Finance's Sub-office. It was signed on behalf of Tanzania by the Minister for Finance, Dr. Mwigulu Nchemba, and on behalf of the Czech Republic by Ambassador Nicol Adamcova, the Czech envoy to Tanzania based in Kenya.
