Dar es Salaam, March 20 -- NEW YORK: THE Tanzanian government is committed to improving the status of women through its partnership with the government of China, particularly in the areas of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and the economy.

The move aims to achieve gender equality in the nation.

This was outlined in discussions between Dr. John Jingu, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Community Development, Gender, Women, and Special Groups, and the Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations, during the International Meeting focused on the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69) Beijing, held on March 18, 2025, in New York, USA.
