DODOMA, Jan. 30 -- TANZANIA and Brazil have pledged to further strengthen cooperation in strategic sectors of mutual interest, including health, agriculture, trade, investment, education, as well as defence and security.

The commitment was made on January 29, 2026, in Dodoma during talks between the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Dr Ngwaru Maghembe, and the Brazilian Ambassador to Tanzania, Gustavo Martins Nogueira, held at the Ministrys offices.

During the discussions, the two leaders reviewed the state of cooperation between Tanzania and Brazil over the past nearly five decades and agreed to continue strengthening and elevating it to higher levels so that citizens of both countries can benefit.
