DAR ES SALAAM, Oct. 25 -- TANZANIA Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) has managed to save an estimated 1.7bn/- in revenue loss, following the ongoing inspection of the electricity infrastructure exercise across the country.
Assessing the implementation of the exercise earlier this week, the Metering System Manager, Engineer Nyanda Mlagwa, said the inspection began in July 2025, intending to identify illegal electricity usage and control theft that causes losses to the company and the government.
