DAR ES SALAAM, Aug. 5 -- THE Tanzania Electric Supply Company (TANESCO) has launched a whistleblower portal to receive confidential reports related to infrastructure sabotage, theft of company assets, corruption and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in the workplace.

Speaking during the launch, TANESCOs Acting Director of Communication and Customer Services, Ms Irene Gowelle, said the portal is now active and accessible to the public, employees and customers.

“It is intended to make it easier for people to report misconduct and protect the integrity of the companys operations,” she said.
