DAR ES SALAAM, July 2 -- THE Tanzania Chess Association (TACA) has officially announced that the 2025 National Chess Championship will take place from Saturday to Monday next week at the Russian Cultural Centre in Dar es Salaam, promising an exciting showcase of talent, strategy and sportsmanship.

Speaking during the announcement, TACA Public Relations Officer Mussa Mangula emphasised that the event is part of a broader mission to promote the growth and visibility of chess across the country, particularly among youths.
