MWANZA, July 11 -- BUGANDO Zonal Referral Hospital attends to at least 50 patients with skin complications daily, with experts citing climate change as a major contributing factor.
According to Bugando Skin Specialist, Dr Nelly Mwageni, the most common skin conditions include irritation, skin asthma, rashes and fungal and bacterial infections particularly among children.
Dr Mwageni made the remarks this week during the hospitals commemoration of World Skin Day, which was marked by offering free skin screenings, counselling and treatment services to the public.
