Dar es Salaam, Feb. 14 -- DAR ES SALAAM: SINGIDA Black Stars secured a narrow 1-0 victory over JKT Tanzania in the Mainland Premier League match at the Major General Isamuhyo Stadium in Dar es Salaam yesterday.

The breakthrough came in the 52nd minute, with Jonathan Sowah scoring the only goal of the match.

Sowah, who had previously missed several scoring opportunities in both halves, latched onto a well-placed assist from Josephat Bada, delivering a powerful shot past JKT goalkeeper Yakoub Suleiman to give Singida BS the lead.

Despite the win, Singida BS remains in fifth place in the league standings. They have now accumulated 37 points from 19 matches, just two points behind third-placed Azam FC, who have 39 points from 18 games.
