ZANZIBAR, Jan. 9 -- THE Minister for Home Affairs, George Simbachawene, has called on police officers and inspectors of all ranks to uphold justice, professionalism and integrity in the execution of their duties.

Speaking at a Police Council meeting held at the Zanzibar Police College, Simbachawene addressed officers from three regions of Unguja, stressing the need for strict adherence to the rule of law, accountability and respect for citizens rights in daily policing.

The Minister expressed concern over persistent public complaints regarding some police officers, particularly in handling cases and traffic enforcement.
