DAR ES SALAAM, Feb. 20 -- SIMBA centre-back Wilson Nangu has undergone successful surgery in South Africa after suffering a serious Achilles tendon injury during the CAF Champions League clash against Espérance Sportive de Tunis.
The injury, described as devastating, forced Simba to seek specialised treatment abroad, with the procedure reported to have gone according to plan.
The clubs Media and Communication Manager, Ahmed Ally, confirmed the development, stressing that while the operation was successful, the defender faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
“The surgery was successful and the doctors are satisfied with the outcome. Unfortunately, he will be out for quite some time as he focuses on recovery,” Ally said...
